The luxury of growing old is not likely what any of us will hear about, because the prospect of the climate woes, wars and other maladies likely will be getting the lion's share of our attention.
 
I watched a few hours on those topics...magnetic shift of the N and S poles that may happen any ol' time now (in the next couple of years, but it will happen in a week and cause tsunamis wiping out the East Coast for a couple hundred miles inland...maybe best to move 3-400 miles inland..and the West Coast doesn't fare any better though a few islands of land will be there.

Best wishes to this and every graduating class of Mountaineers from the 75+ year old Housatonic Valley Regional High School or Housy.  I happened to have a nice shirt with that logo on the back as part of remembering Kaelan's passing on 6-16-09 which hopefully all can help educate others about in terms of planning for safe, sensible good times, Scout's honor and cool Kaelan remembrance kind of thing, we good on that legacy point? 

There are many from each community who have struggled or had to bid loved ones an earthly farewell who we can always seek to support and extend a moment of silence

When we discover important posts on facebook, how many take time to "share" it with the public? Is it safe to do so? Not always, so more forums to 'spread the words to put down swords' of despair, inaction, confusion, isolation, and poverty on all levels are rising up just in the nick of time. I hope you take a few minutes to share before you look at the site in case you forget to do so.

I saw a program that said some warnings of the Pearl Harbor attack were dismissed as military exercises or that calls were not heeded (maybe not even in DC). The book Hiroshima: Myth or Fact? explores the reality of the closet meetings for Why the bombs were dropped (the second because 'it was on the calendar even when told it would not be needed).

Hello Everybuddy on Team Survive the Heat! The author of Generation HOT wrote about Climate Change as a reality the younger people in this century would have to face like none others before.
I realize people in warmer climates have weathered far worth than some humid, 90 degree days in New England, but he was talking about the Effects of World Wide Climate Change. That's a harsh "cold' reality that more people have to Want to Face.
