https://youtu.be/tAGeN5lrxws is an important talk, skim thru and consider the ‘sci-fi’ world that’s basically coming down the pike…We need more grassroots think tanks, more faith and social consideration…and FB shares etc… Good luck and I’ll try to summarize what I’ve heard so far. I add a few thoughts and hopefully that’s clear but most of this is from the talk to encourage people to listen for themselves…

Amazon is training many of its workers about Artificial Intelligence (AI). They have ghost stores that you check in (via facial recognition) and wireless computers watch you and what you take. Then they bill you. They keep training their workers to be more accepting and engaged with AI. Jobs are being replaced (cashiers for instance.) Google and Facebook can sell our information so likely many of us (me included) should rethink what we have out in the public realm.

I used to be more concerned about beginning to use FB but given that our teen son passed in 2009 under unusual rather public circumstances (in our small town) and that was on the news, I felt it made sense to learn a bit more about what was being said online.

That was a decade ago and I realize I have been hoping to share important ideas as I’ve written to the newspaper for a decade prior to that. Ideally we would have ongoing thorough think tanks, much like NoLiesRadio.org is doing. Still there’s ‘endless controversy’ and hard to get a lot of people on the same page.

These folks cover points about benefits of 5G for self driving cars (to reduce car accidents, but maybe we could have more breatholizers and other check point stations for people to be monitored for safety is my idea just now.) Also 5G can allow for robotic surgery to be done around the world.

In terms of military I don’t think we are using as many soldiers on the ground, although when bombs are dropped via drones and so forth, it’s unlikely there would be ways to keep the 5G functional and aide to help people in timely ways.

Many people are feeling there is a race to get 5G (the government likely would be first in line to get this capacity) which would give them a huge lead. The private sector is pushing the envelope. Chuck Schumer asked the US to invest $100 Billion into AI to help push the government’s lead.

This speaker was asserting the need for nuclear fusion (not fission.) He believes a quantum super computer could help figure out a compact nuclear fusion reactor (about the size of a tractor trailer.) Putting one H unit in would create 6 H units. The compact reactor could fuel 100K homes.

Basically they cover the history of the internet from 2G to 3 and 4 G and now saying we are ushering in 5 G…and That will Change the World and Maybe our own selves more than we can imagine or anyone is talking about. It would be helpful to have a transcript of this talk. The private companies have invested US Artificial Intelligence to the tune of 160B dollars in the past few years. We are ahead in many ways, attracting people from around the world (so far.)

AI is becoming able to infer with ‘smaller data sets.’ Ai called ‘inference’ will become open and available to the public once the technology is published. Developments are ‘inflection points for society right now.’ These fellows are considering many aspects. They offer what if China is ‘stealing and copying’ some of our technology and now adding their own expertise.

One speaker feels they are a ‘dark force’ on the planet, and with what happened to Tibet in the 1980s and others in the North currently and ‘no one is paying attention.’ Their mobile infrastructure (Ali Baba which is like Amazon and WeChat etc) are commerce platforms on the phone. They have access to 80-90 percent of the population which the government monitors closely. They are about to have their own digital currency. Then they may transition their international transactions in that direction. China has some use of block chain technology. The US does not use that as much.

Block Chain is software that is released and can have some protections built in. Cryptocurrency is a ‘digital gold standard’ and frees someone up from the governments of the world. If the US does digital currency, would there be interest, one fellow asks. The person being interviewed says he feels it’s inevitable. Most block chains are written with code that cannot be modified in terms of its amount. The central government would still have input and control. It’s not actually secret since there is a record of the transactions.
