Most folks have heard this is a week like no other in history….Tune into what JaiDevSingh.com is offering to help people unite and harmonize at this important time. https://youtu.be/Tcdn2QoZOSA is a link to a replay of today’s program (good for a few days) and another program is offered to lead up to the solstice.
See what Carol Allen is offering online about Vedic astrology. I wrote to CT The Lakeville Journal today about what I learned about the solar eclipse that started today (and while was a full eclipse for only a few minutes will influence earth for the next six months…stay tuned in!)
Wishing all well this time of year and appreciating the process everyone is going through to find a secure path and yet also ‘go with the flow’ with love as the vibe and guide. See PeaceAndHarmonyCo.com for great podcasts and products.
If you want to buy a Peacemaker System please be in touch with me to allow me my Catherine Palmer Paton affiliate connection, at cppaton@ yahoo.com. They have some free trials and many talks online too. Check out the podcast also on the JaiDevSingh.com site and on BrainTime.com.
I have a free trial link on my post on this blog Livfully.org from 11/1/20 for that great ‘brain balancing program’…just what the doctor forgot to order but can be a boost for one’s stamina, handling stress and getting good sleep (and yes, those things can all be related.)
With a moment of silence and remembrance for those who passed during the CT Sandy Hook tragic turn of events (which I wrote about at the time and over the years, calling it TANSH, Tragedy At Newtown Sandy Hook) to capture the sense of that time but not label the whole area as a tragedy.
Some names of those who perished at that time were on luminaries in another town the other night, as were victims of domestic abuse, and many rescue and health care workers, volunteers, teachers, students, families, world leaders, friends and loved ones in spirit.
We could add to that list at this time, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and all the newly elected officials, leaders, and support for all people who feel alone or ‘less than’ or in need of something with hopes that they can be open to receiving and allowing help.
Every community, state and country seeking to provide basics and then other helpful services (including wifi, phone service, internet along with emailing, scanning, copying and so on to get fuel and energy assistance applications in which may be done directly in CT for instance instead of only through a social worker, and help for SNAP (food stamps) and other basic needs would be a great way to help one another in the holiday spirit. Check 211.org or call 211 and in NYC, 311.org or dial 311. Remember in an emergency, fire or for someone who has had a fall, a mental or physical health crisis, call 911.They can give you a sense of what to do next and not harm someone (who may have broken something or gotten a neck injury etc if fallen.)
More volunteers and educators about domestic abuse and ways to plan one’s life for safety on all fronts (and that may very well include more discussion and clarity about relationships, living situations, options for elders and others to protect assets legally with advance planning and learning what NY, Florida and other states allow for seniors. That may include learning what states near a person or a state one would want to move to for warmth, for seeing friends and family (or knowing they’d come visit) and good medical and other support. That would be a great game to make for more people (including kiddos) to learn terms, role play and assist other game characters with finding housing, relocating, getting food and transportation, medical and other help over the life span. Change is part of the game but so is continuity and support!
It’s a warm fuzzy feeling to know one is actually helping another person learn, earn or burn oil or kerosene to stay warm affordably. Let’s make an effort to don another layer of clothing to avoid having to turn up heat to be cozy.
A hat, socks and slippers if not indoor shoes, warm leggings and tops could be indoor attire, and maybe would avoid needing to make a real fire!
Remember safety even around candles (and please avoid using starter fluid to light anything on or near a tablecloth which can catch on fire from drips or thereabouts…yes, that’s happened to some I know.
One friend had her whole house burn down when her young child played with matches and a candle, so that’s another tip.
I mentioned in an earlier post to avoid having kids play with sticks and stones which can hurt eyes and bones (and yes, all of the above as well as jumping without spotting or a clear safe landing area and getting cut when sledding headfirst and hitting something that’s frozen near the path are things to Avoid.)
In general, try to ‘err on the side of safety, thinking things through with a few talks over time about being in someone’s home (staying in view of adults who are responsible, not going off property, keeping a close watch on visitors and people who may push the limits and basically use the Safety Wise Girl Scout Guide or former Boy Scout Handbook to plan for activities and actual safe adult supervision etc (and supervision of adults!)
Let’s aim for an A for Accountability and another for good Accounting of Time, Treasure, People and Pleasure (not all work, no sleep and limited down time in the name of getting stuff done. Let’s celebrate getting a fancy F for Fun, Family and Friends and Future Ones to brighten our lives too. Now onto some stargazing for this sleepy bird (and by the way there are some great programs online about birds, check out what Audubon among others is offering these days.)
If you’re in the tri-corner MA/NY CT area, check out the Audubon Center in Sharon CT and White Memorial in Litchfield CT, some of my faves!
