Finding inspiration as April begins with reverent remembrances...
Once again our communities have had hard losses to bear over the winter as well as when spring returns. The events of Holy Week leading to Maundy Thursday (when the Last Supper is remembered), Good Friday (the day Jesus was crucified and possibly ending the slavery and final punishment for sin for humanity through his suffering and death ) and then Easter (the resurrection of Jesus in bodily form who later ascended to heaven) happen to coincide with the event of Passover, when the spirit of death 'passed over' the homes of Jews in ancient Egypt. These events speak to various truths and options in major religions and of our human condition. The timely annual themes offer a sense of forgiveness and healing and protection.
I need to get to a better computer but hope to convey a feeling of sharing that there is much to ponder and many people who need encouragement during hard times...particularly when facing changes and loss of loved ones as they cross over.
May all be at peace and keep a faith of courage, friendship and love to help them pull through the weeks and months as they unfold. Hugs and keep the promise of spring close to one's heart as greenery and plants emerge anew with birdsong and warmer days beckoning us to walk in nature and feel connected to all of the gifts of life..and spirit in love...
