Dreaming Big at the Olympics--Big Skills, Safety and Success to All!

The fervor of another round of Olympic Games firing up in Sochi, Russia is catching on even while snowstorms blanket much of America and people around the world courageously conquer meeting their daily  needs and bigger life goals. Why not give yourself a pat on the back for being part of the team US-All? The Olympic Games are an inspiration for the competing athletes and their countries, as well as the citizens of each country.

A footonote after I just penned this entry that meant to be full of good cheer for the Happy Valentine's Day idea of celebrating the love in your life, echoing out from the kind you'd have with someone you are a partner with to your family and other cirlces of close friends and letting that bubble out into your sense of community..it gets rather serious.

So maybe read this After the special day...but really, maybe there's a word of wisdom for someone you may know, so brave it as you can.

Legend Pete Seeger journeys on a Heavenly Sloop 1-27-14

Another folk legend who knew Pete Seeger for many decades was moved to hear of his passing from me this morning. She had been meaning to be in touch with him since Toshi Seeger, Pete's wife, died in July 2013. "He didn't outlive Toshi by much, did he," she said. I recall a few times I saw Pete Seeger perform, with the first being at the Vassar Chapel when I was in college in the 1980s. I realize now that Pete living in Beacon NY by the Hudson River, was just doing a gig up the road for him.
