With International Women's Day on March 8th annually, let's all take the first part of that day, and every day, to face this sobering fact...that Women and Children are at Grave Risk of Harm from Those they live with due to their gender and weaker position of physical stature (particularly children or if we can come up with a more empowering terms, those who have arrived on the planet with biological or other support from the people they live with or are adopted by or otherwise end up living with or interacting with.

 From Wisdom-Magazine.com (Jan/Feb 2019 issue), I read an inteview with Eve Wilson about her book.I am always thinking of following up with the offers to get a book when it seems like 'an amazing way to think about our times and ways to address issues in our personal lives.' Much of what she said resonated with my growing sense that the ways our lives play out has more meaning than we are generally encouraged to consider. Thankfully I called to get a bit more information, and I was home a few days later to actually get her call.

She sounds like a wise, caring, insightful being.

Toward A catholic Christianity: A  Study in Critical Belonging by Michael Halpin McCarthy (of Vassar College.) I will read more of the sample on the kindle version available for free online...and encourage others to do the same. I do think we need to have all options about assisted suicide as well as assisted ways to survive pain and difficulty (whether physical, mental, social, legal or otherwise) discussed and ideally have teams of people who are neutral but informed, compassionate people readily available to review the matters at hand. Many people are not familiar with various ideas about how to cope with life, death, possible quantum or spiritual aspects and much more... Pain is a big piece of the puzzle...and not an easy one by any stretch.

Here are a few thoughts I shared with some folks from my era at Vassar College. As happens from time to time (have you noticed?) I got thinking of a few other morsels of wisdom and wannabe world improvements... So journey along as you like and maybe let it inspire you to work toward similar goals...all on a slow to get going Sunday, but one which has proven to lead me to new waters of wishing well for everybuddy.
