13 Seconds of Silence at 10 am, 4-20-18, around the country and wider world & online

on Fri, 04/20/2018 - 14:07

Lighting a candle here in the countryside of CT in my Turtle Garden to remember the students and community of Columbine High School who suffered the passing of 13 students  beginning at 11:19 am due to the gunfire of two male teens, Klebold and Harris,  who then took their own lives shortly after noon.

I met a woman who had someone close to her have to flee for her safety after being beaten by a 'nice man who worked with many people'. That woman from the East Coast was visting people near Columbine High in the aftermath and was able to meet with one of the families.

To help more people understand how the "No" vote would actually lead to something substantially can you and others who are familiar with these matters clarify the next steps, timeline and desired agendas...It seems the reality of a declining student population, the standards that were in place for grades and the cost of doing business as it was being done was not sustainable...

Which would you prefer..leading a song with a group of supportive friends or braving whitewater (with training and support mind you, not just winging it since it looks good.) Be wise and thoughtful of your boating or singing buddies...and rescue crew and supplies.

By the way, I know at least one of the fellas in this video whose late Dad, Jamie McEwan,  also was a huge success in the white water boating world

Anyone Can Be At Risk of being Kidnapped in Aleppo FYI, and Eva Bartlett Braving Reporting Syrians (7M Displaced Syrian Refugees Within Syria)

on Tue, 04/17/2018 - 16:52

Half a million Syrians have gone home from government refugee camps, Eva Bartlett reports. She has only met a few Syrians who oppose Assad. Most Syrians left due to violent rebels, conflict areas, or poor economics. The mainstream media in the world paints a picture of people fleeing Assad and the Syrian government.

There's lots more but those are a few highlights. The White Helmets have been exposed by a woman who Eva gives credit to, even though that has brought Vanessa the whistleblower much online retaliation and even some physical threats.
