Speaking with a wise fellow whose served on important community groups over many years, I was delighted when he knew right off the bat Why I was applauding that there is a new standard in addressing conflict by police...(sure, why not use a Baseball Analogy since this pertains to the game of living in America and the Modern World Today,no matter one's history or past conditioning...)

See more about the response to a 'domestic violence or abuse' call by police as grounds for determining The Primary Aggressor Before Making an Arrest, rather than arresting both parties if it were a 'he

Here's to keeping abreast of the many great ways to enjoy summer, and really each season of the year, with neighbors and newcomers at local events and growing in community networking efforts.

A few folks have asked me, "Well, what does Community Networking mean..what will happen or who does that involve?" What I've been doing since very young in these small CT towns as well as in larger ones (New Haven and Fairfield CT, at Vassar College and then back in the hill towns of the northwest corner CT and more recently for a couple of years in Brooklyn NY) is getting to know who is doing what in

Don't feel you are coming late to the party in Falls Village CT. It's been going on for over 275 years as a town and thousands of years before that with Natives along the Housatonic River from below Kent to  Town of Canaan/ Falls Village and Stockbridge MA, called The Berkshire Path. Now in modern times there are still echoes of the past, particularly the Ames Iron Works which helped significantly in winning the war that shaped this country's identity.

Lighting a Candle for For the Late Jaevon Whyte of Hartford CT, A Young Man With Much to Teach US-All on the Fourth of July 2018

Very sad situation.. Jaevon Whyte, age 17 almost, passed away in the pool of Keney Park in Hartford CT. While he and two friends at least 2 others and as many as 20 trespassed over high fences, he somehow drowned without his friends realizing it.

That may have been at 9pm with a large group of friends or just a pair of others If a large group was there and they thought the police were coming, that could explain some chaos that may have contributed to Jaevon struggling if he took in some water or if he stepped into a deeper part of the pool since he couldn't swim.

Pittsfield MA July 4th Annual Parade Running since 1977 (when I graduated from 8th grade as did other now 55-year-olds!) Keep in mind many celebrate the weekend Before the 4th with Fireworks and More.

Catch the Big Pittsfield MA Live This 4th of July 2018.The Star Spangled Banner was sung clear as a bell by Linda Billow. Well over a hundred groups will be marching represening much of the Berkshires. I have gotten to the parade twice and really had a special time. I did some outreach about my late teen son Kaelan  Palmer Paton who passed saving friends from the Housatonic River in Fals Village and Salisbury Ct in June 2009. I wanted to reverence the many connections, mostly wonderful and positive that happen for people along the banks of the same river.
