With a prompt from FB posts about talking about death and options, I shared the following. See more helpful resources on doulagivers.com (offering some free online programs often with live Q and A, and some discounts on other programs that may be of interest for personal or professional development. \
 
The EOLD (End of Life Doula) positions are not licensed or regulated. Many promote taking a training and having a good number of hours and cases one has worked with to be more qualified to help others, but much help is needed.

This summer of 2019 has 'flown by' but sadly not without some turbulence and challenges for our local and wider areas..Some even involving unusual drownings which likely are a huge reminder to everyone to 'be careful around water, high places and trails near water, and much more.'
 
I cover some of the situations on livfully.org and as it turned out, I knew one person's family rather well from our area and I knew the location of the other situation, since it was the same area our son marked his final moments on earth.

To Whom It May Concern or The Editor:
Current headlines are detailing outcomes from the tragedy of Eric Garner being put in a choke hold by one policeman, who had recently been dismissed from his job, with others present five years ago. Everyone can take a moment of silence and consider how 'one man's life moved the nation,particularly with the the banned choke hold  resulting in him calling out 11 times, "I Can't Breathe!"
 
The efforts of his family, including his six children and particularly late daughter Erica who was a vigilant advocate as is his mother Gwen Carr, and his well-spoken

Very sadly, a situation like the one that started this thread was a Warning Sign that minors were not up to 'following the laws or common courtesy' about bicycling and sharing the road.
 
A person who was peeved at their behavior could have given them a talking to they wouldn't have forgotten, and likely would have had some put their bikes to the side and call their parents...
 
That would have been a miracle had he felt 'this was one of those moments'...because Then they wouldn't have headed off to The Falls where our teen son Kaelan Paton lost his life helping others --which I cover on

I like to encourage everyone to 'use words to help put down the swords of despair, anger, harm and misery....' So definitely want to rear people of all genders to 'use words (which may come in the form of silence, journaling, sharing anonymously, online or off (with clarity and safety about whose who for real and of course many ways to talk 'in person' with the right setting and supervision, support and 'script' for understanding what one can express legally and reasonably without repercussions.)....
