What's "Livfully" Blog All About? Cutting-Edge Ideas, Local and National Topics, and Creative Musings

on Wed, 03/18/2015 - 21:43

How can one blog address an array of topics, from the personal to the political, sometimes local and national to even global (and beyond..yes, talking about the nature of time, life, multiple lifetimes vs Yolo (you only live once) and questioning 'what happens in the great beyond').

Striking up a conversation on an important or even easy-does-it topic is not easy to do in person, and really few people have ways to meet folks 'outside their circle'. We all have some biases (and may be blinded to seeing in a more comprehensive manner by our biases).

"Stay in One's Bubble to Stay O-U-T of Trouble!" as in Walk Away and Don't Insist on Your Own Way

This post was written before a showman lost his job over saying a certain woman of great renown looked like an ape actor...well, aren't we all related to primates on a certain level, and why not have such limits spelled out in one's contract? Better yet, why not ban most live TV from being AIRED immediately..make it someone's job to Bleep Out what is illegal especially when a program could likely go that way. Am I saying something NEW?

This is a difficult subject, well worth doing a school report on, but can bring up fear and concerns for most of America. I know I was shocked to learn such harm happens 'in all types of homes' (thankfully not all, but likely a large percent if sexual abuse of women holding at about 25% of all women having an assault of some kind in their life holds true to domestic abuse).

Review the info on the BMCC, www.batteredmotherscustodyconference.org and consider attending this even in mid May of 2015

March is International Women's Day, www.berkshirewomenwriters.com Enjoy some inspiration and share with a friend (of any gender/s)

Get inspired by the events held in your area and online to recognize the importance of women being cared for and supported. Yes, men too and of course, Kids. Somehow we overlook major segments of our populations. Groups like UNIFEM and One Billion Rising, International Woman's Day and www.berkshirewomenwriters.com are helping that shift. Checking out sites for ten minutes a week in addition to your e-mail or FB can help one move toward empowerment. See www.duluthmodel.org too for safety tips in one's home and community on attractive wheel posters.
