Spring or Other Season Great Time to Learn About and Play The Turtle Garden Permaculture Game (TGPG). Copyrighted by Catherine Palmer Paton https://livfully.org/wordpressblog/?p=2646 Happy Turtle-Gardening Every Season of Our Lives as a Team!

Thanks to all working along the lines of learning and sharing info...that's part of Permaculture too and Growing Community! I shared this game idea in The Shoppers Guide-Inc online of Great Barrington MA and will be giving some coaching sessions to the first six daycares, schools or colleges that request that!

Happy 2023 and let's start our engines for a ride like none other thus far...one bit of turtle power at a time. By the way I'm friends with the fellow Jim who drew some of the Teenage turtlefolk of great reknown..talk about a small world and more Turtle Talk!

Think back over your lifetime and see what seeds have been growing when the world's been doing its thing. I found some bulbs I meant to plant in my garden but they started to sprout up again so they're brighteing the plant corner in our home...

Fun is all around (as was going for a search for some cash and finding a money order I hadn't cashed even though I waited a few months for it to finally be delivered! I had put it aside and thankfully it surfaced before anyone else cleaned out my car maybe without checking (or with checking and keeping the funds though it was made out to me specifically...a good tip in case you are making out a money order. It was also sent certified mail with a return receipt.

That was actually for funds I paid someone at someone's insistence but I should have Simply Walked Away and Called A Friend to Get Support. It was only supposed to be for a few days but turned into a few weeks and then months, with lots of wrangling in between about How it could be repaid (not just directly handed over with a witness mind you...)

So "Be Prepared for Snaffews" whether among family, friends, co-workers, trustworthy or iffy people. Everything can become a 'legal matter or involve police if someone does not want to communicate or have someone on their property can police give notice...although that may be a 'gray area and worth checking for whichever state you live in.'

Expect the Unexpected is a term used by many and is the title of a book by Bill Phillips which is about 'seeing beyond what's here and now...' So that's another angle or angel to consider.

See other posts on Livfully.org for timely helpful ideas 'from many realms and the new sense of quantum connections, how inner intentions can be playing out consciously or not so consciously as A Course In Miracles suggests. If everyone can have support and agree to basic guidelines for communicating and 'looking within' with support such as in the book by Robert Wood, The No Loss Relationship, everyone may feel more supported in their journey of seeing 'what's what, who's who' and how to evolve with love and care, allow times of change or separation and stay stong and carry on..."

See the story The Turtle and The Acorn (which I'll try to put in a current link on Livfully.org or on livfully.wordpressblog.com which has the same earlier posts but not in chronological order and not the more recent ones from 2020 on...yet! Also The Jewel Story is an audio of about a half hour and can inspire more people to 'tell a story based on childhood adventures, make-believe or allowing a story to emerge as it will'.

Try to turn on a recording device (on an iPhone or Android for instance or even a simple tape recorder) to recap easily whether songs, stories, info or ideas or even conversations on the phone (on speaker) with loved ones to have their voice.

Be clear about the cost of buying extra storage for an icloud or google photos account and whether that is monthly or over a year to keep track of recordings. Then find out ways to download those on a hard drive (and I'm still learning how to do that but thankfully had someone help me in advance so have some on DVDs. and emails on a thumb drive.)

Call on one phone and record on another with their permission of course! Always double check whether recording someone without their permission or notice (such as on a security camera) is permissible, especially if there are conflicts or legal matters. It can be helpful but also it can be required to submit those as evidence possibly.

So be aware of how one is living and what one might not even know about. That's important as one gets on in years or is trying to secure one's assets and make contingency plans for aging or having care.

One's adult children may have more sway or decide matters even if one is not proven to be needing oversight or have a conservatorship. So make plans early on and with a team that will anticipate the concerns and decisions that will need to be made and help a person stay in the loop and in charge of their affairs with honest people.

Unfortunately the funds or other concerns (someone falling or being confused etc and people not wanting or knowing how to help people have reliable support from housemates or caregivers may all be reasons that a person is placed in a facility or situation they are not necessarily needing especially long-term. In many states, 'the money for care may follow the person' so consider ways a community might provide that option for those who would like it.

The concern of losing a place in a facility may come into play since the numbers needing care are going up and sometimes facilities are finding ways to provide for fewer people due to lack of help or higher costs.

Let's draw on the wisdom of the ages, write down skills and relationships that people have had, map out family charts (as is readily done on Ancestry.com but simple notebooks would suffice and pictures do convery a great deal and warm hearts for a family and social groups and even over a community. see what is offered in local papers (many which have gone by the wayside) but some which are archived such as on tricornernews.com and appreciate the 'Generous Generations of Hard Workers from the Historical and More Recent Past who had skills, drive and connections the modern world can't slow down enough to appreciate and does not understand the value of for the most part!)

The Lakeville Journal of CT, The Millerton News of Dutchess County NY and papers such as The Berkshire Eagle out of Pittsfield MA, The Hartford Courant and Republican-American of Waterbury as well as The Torrrington Register of CT have all been helpful to our NWCT communities over the years.

Especially inspiring has been the coverage of local events by Ruth Epstein (Of the Republican Amn)who travels far and wide (and even late at night) to help people stay in the loop for many years! See the Litchfield County Times of CT also.

The work of many dedicated publishers, editors and reporters are household names and key parts of helping communites stay connected. Meryl Streep and Sam Waterston co-hosted the 125th Gala of The Lakeville Journal non-profit that is carrying the publication into its Next 125 Years!

The SalisburyForum.org and many programs offered through libraries such as ScovilleMemorial.org and the humble but mighty DM Hunt Library in Falls Village CT have been inspiring many as has the efforts of many through Adult Ed and programs from Noble Horizons and Taconic Learning Education. Let's keep these good things growing and share the info for others to enjoy via online programs and replays.

The future is what we dream it and make it, hopefully not what we fear. We all need to appreciate the power and gift each of us is and the ways we play integral parts in one another's lives whether living, driving, working or thriving.

Let's journey on together for shared meaningful management of our time, talent, treasure and resources on our one planet earth which also can be thought of as Planet Heart (with our hearts and those of animals and the generations past and present) influencing far more than we realize. Let's pass on healing legacies of hope and wisdom as is often shared in song and the arts.

See what The Grumbling Gryphons of West Cornwall CT offers and thanks for donating to local non-profits such as fire and ambulance responders, faith and education outreaches and missions, daycare and childcare programs and family and people support programs for food, fuel, access and transportation, health and healing on all levels.

We're counting on one another and realize preventing problems in any part of life or relationships is far easier than dealing with overwhelm. Too many ads and media allow for downward spirals of decline and difficulty so let's intervene early on with an upward spiral of hope, teamwork and healing.

Thanks in advance and now it's your chance to explore the ideas shared here on Livfully.org and with The Turtle Garden Permaculture Game! Happy Designing and dreaming over time on such projects and implementing ideas daily!
