Happy Thanksgiving 2017, and More Thankful Thursdays, and A Bit of Extra 'Inspirational' Dessert!

https://youtu.be/3VtyFOSyB84 is a talk I am listening to after a lovely Thanksgiving in Brooklyn NY. I got some great deals and inspiration at Trader Joe's (City Point) and pulled together a nice simple meal with just enough for four adults and a little extra. www.truelifepurpose.com is the name of the site the guest speaker on the Wellness Show has. In terms of a few details about my meal, I will copy what I sent to some folks who were sharing their days and lives highlights...some having quiet days they are thankful and others having a nice to-do at someone Else's home (or with a friend and so on) or at their own abode (some with others helping and others doing their own thing.)

We had a turkey breast portion which is 'all gone' (after giving a plate to someone who missed their family meal due to work..and I noticed she had about 4 other dinners later on but that she has that many kids too so maybe will be bringing that back for the kiddos), roasted cut-up pieces of seasoned blue and regular potatoes, butternut squash, sweet potatoes,  carrots and parsnips and garlic., and fried leeks, stir-fried string beans, cranberry-orange sauce, and mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy (cheated with a can we had, but it worked.) Fresh berry pie baked by the Sharon Ct  Methodist Church (from their annual sale which sells out quickly) with  chocolate chip icecream and a pumpkin chai cake and gingerbread cookies rounded out dessert options with coffee (the latter which I skipped.)

I recalled some things I was thankful for and shared the idea of asking one another that on Facebook on Thankful Thursdays. I am listening to the latter part of the talk from the Wellness Show and they are saying to count all one's gifts and feel one with abundance. The speaker is saying, "You must have a foundation for a project to land on... " There is a properity project which is about sharing what you'd do with a million bucks (or more) to help the world and people. We may have life lessons that keep those things from coming...The universe is 'just energy' and what we put out is what we may receive (in stereo..) Be careful not to be outcome-based but rather focus on taking the first step and then the next and let the universe usher in the arrival of our dreams.

So this is From my FB:

Catching a few tips from this talk...https://youtu.be/3VtyFOSyB84 Share your gifts and amazing intuition you have..(that's about midway..) Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving..likely we could benefit from having Thankful Thursdays..does this idea resonate with you on some level (thought, words--journaling, paying attention to others you care about--maybe writing them a letter whether you share it with them or not..and notes on paper or emails, FB etc... a moment or two of 'reaching out to touch someone' with a kind word, a helpful idea or bit of help ( as is safe and appropriate to do so..holding doors Open, etc.)

Pitching in with meal planning, shopping, preparing, serving, enjoying at a table together (or in the same room etc), putting food away, clearing table and area, washing dishes or loading a dishwasher--or unloading if that needs doing, wiping down counters, sweeping floors, emptying garbage--daily is nice if using small plastic bags or small trash can that can be emptied into a larger one with a bigger bag in it away from the main kitchen area--check basic feng shui ideas, and all done with an attitude of gratitude, appreciating what we can do physically, socially and otherwise as part of the greater good.

What are you thankful for today ( on this very day and if time, as of this point in your life...) Nice to consider and feel free to share here or with another person as you can and hear what's on their thankful for list...

PS I also enjoyed aspects of the live Verizon coverage of the Macy's Day 91st Annual Parade. I love the bands and would like to see full clips of All the Marching Bands Music. They come from so far and with such pizzazz after a zillion hours of rehearsal (color guards too). Maybe someone has this all figured out and hats off to that. Everyone did a great job as far as I could tell... holding the huge balloon anchors, keeping the pace, doing their special performing from stilt walking to clowning and being on the floats with a positive attitude. The 3 and a half million spectators deserve applause as well especially since iit was breezy and a bit cold. Reminders to 'watch our steps' from one of the previous posts could include more about 'safety in the kitchen' and trying Not to Multitask or be distracted if cutting veggies, etc. If there's a cut, direct pressure and later applying a bandage of Cabbage Leaves may be helpful to promote healing. An antibiotic cream would be good too (and checking online if not one's doctor if it's serious...) Now back to the inspirational talks and getting a good night's sleep with healing, inspired dreams!

https://youtu.be/Q-z3MMuXE4Q Hearing new ideas about the consciousness...and looking at The Lord's Prayer in a new way to be more at peace with ourselves..and the ability to tune into an open heart. There are some 'controversial points explored, yet these are the kinds of questions worth exploring a little more openly...The challenging points she makes include that if God is everything..he's in all people, animals and objects... not that God is atoning all actions, but there is an experience being played out. I have only heard a few minutes of this but will listen more now or another time. Let's try to understand the essence of what she is saying before assuming it means only one thing...
