"Bulletin Board for the Berkshires of MA" (with offerings beyond and online as well as right in the MA/NY CT Tri-Corner Area)
Part of the fun of living near Dutchess County of NY and the Berkshires of MA (and the Northwest Corner of CT which I've asked most of Great Barrington MA in the USA, and surrounding towns to consider as their adopted neighbor or sister area) is discovering what all those cool people are up to...and some are a little on the amazing and exotic side going the distance toward the Taj Mahal (well, India to do yoga and connect with cool cultures for instance.)
Some folks from garden clubs tend to wander where their hearts desire as well and give slide shows, as do many who travel and are 'ready to share'. Some wondrous souls are ready to lead others on a journey for a retreat or other venture. I invite people of that ilk to list what they do in the Comments section below, with links to websites or other contact info they would like to have on this livfully.org blog.
Thanks for however you treat yourself and others with respect and enjoy your days and life whether in a rural or more populated part of the country (America or whichever country you are in...)
There are many cool blogs and sites covering what's up in the Berkshires, but sometimes it's 'meant to be' that one discovers something in a certain way..and it may be that livfully.org will be that side door for many. I will encourage other communities to follow the lead of the efforts of 1 Berkshire in creating a larger cultural, economic and social sense of community and practical networking.
The book Change Here Now by Adam Brock encourages people to make use of social and everyday living connections in a closer set of networks than some tend to do in cities or even in suburban or rural settings. Food for Thought (actually the name of a conference in Fairfield CT which is also fun to check out and possibly emulate) and Community Foundations to address needs for all ages and stages of life make sense in our caring culture.
Seeing the efforts of #GCFest at Central Park which brought together tens of thousands of people for a great set of musical performers for good causes globally should inspire more people to live their dreams, share their talents, make their house a home and be ready to make the world their home, with growing networks and endeavors online and in person as one is able. Being an ambassador for one's area, state, country and wider communities can be a win-win on many levels. Here's to posting your next great event, trip, or what have you for US-All!
