Everybuddy Can Benefit from Hearing the Free Talks on Braintime.com

on Mon, 04/13/2020 - 20:49

I have enjoyed using Braintime.com for 5-15 minutes a day for a few months, with a paid monthly subscription which I may not keep for much longer, and I had gotten a free trial for 45 days, so stay tuned in case they offer that again. With family, the fairly low cost may prove more valuable, especially in these days of social distancing.

Consider listening to 'a talk weekly then think of how it may be helpful in your life.'  Here are notes to one I am listening to...

One of the talks "Connected Success". "Social isolation is tremendously harmful for us as social animals and is way more common than one imagines." He shares many alarming statistics about limited social engagement and being the target of being isolated in terms of fired or someone breaking up with them. There are many factors nudging people toward 'being socially isolated'.

Social media doesn't really cut it with filling the gaps. Many aspects of one's life is influenced by those in one's closest social circles. For instance, taking the average weight of your five closest people in your life and the average of one's self-esteem will likely influence one's own weight and self-esteem. It's helpful to align with people who are in areas we would like to become more like. That is one of dozen or more talks that are each a half hour long. He shares that 'relationships build our brains'.

Our brain then influences our bodies. We have a huge amount of 'brain real estate', he shares that start small and grow during our time of development. The social part of our brain drives our emotions. Those in turn affect our thinking in huge ways. I'll leave some for you to discover on your own....and yet will mention that one's emotions then impact one's physical body.

He then suggests listening to Manage Your Moods to help regulate emotions and moods. BrainTime.com can help one have better conscious responses and have healthier balanced thinking, sleeping and relationships (and more!)

There are tips for internal and outer games for growing healthy friendships and relationsihps. Your perspective about relationships is key to how things go. Prioritizing and protecting relationships is a healthy mindset. That is not easy during stressful times when one may isolate vs reconnect with friends which is healthier.

How do your prioritize and nurture your relationships (especially when dealing with overwhelm?) Good stuff, right? Hope more people can listen together and share some of the tips, especially after trying them!
