Tough Topics But Worth Telling One Another..."We Can Do This All in Good Time, With Teamwork and Trust so We Will Evolve Together"..

Along with everybody's New You Resolutions (yes, and New Year ones too), we can have a New Shared Agenda, an NShA to Rethink Everything. I explore these ideas in series of posts on my blog www.livfully.org, allowing ideas to flow and connect to explore new ways of thinking and an array of topics While some topics are difficult or controversial they are in the realm of what's in the news headlines and some that Should Be covered.

All women, children and men need to learn about the new laws for safety and relationships that  could help prevent more people from walking into trouble  or how to get out of trouble safely and legally.

These would include learning about rights and responsibilities for not being in abusive, or difficult relationships.

In addition, we all need to know legal  ways and responsibilities to exit as safely as possible with one's children's interest as a priority.  The tide is slowly turning among lead advocates to see that more children are 'Safe and Together' with their protective parent, generally the mother.

But the trend has not been consistent in the country. Some groups such as National Parents Organization, NPO, are seeking 'shared parenting' as a default in the country yet that is not prioritizing the safety of children.

The public and professionals in society from school, work, healthcare, military, faith and court areas could join together to help prevent abuse and violations as well as physical or coercive abuse, greater strides would be made for younger people (under 30) from being abused or abusing others.

Those over 30 would ideally have a way to assess their life and relationship situations with the new information, ideally obtained individually and in private (whether on websites, phone calls or in individual or group counseling with others of their gender.)

For those in a conflicted relationship or abusive work or home environment or headed for custody or divorce court, the Civic Research Institute.org has key resources (with extensive summaries) to help shed light on a safe strategy for victims to emerge with custody of their children and support.

The horrifying gap between that necessary, well-supported outcome and what typically happens is huge, complex and costly. That is why more people who are not married or have children should think twice  and plan for safety.

With a few national (if not global) informed websites (ideally from WHO, World Health Organization to the basic laws and voluntary guidelines in each country, all could take time to learn key issues before getting into relationships or doing care giving, getting married and or before having children which may be safer to do without being legally married, but that's what needs serious consideration.

The idea  is of 'informed consent'  of all parties separately (and possibly over a few meetings online etc) which one or more advocates could review with an audio as well as transcript with a person in their language' to increase the comprehension of such matters.

Some could relate to other health or care needs, even regarding end of life matters (such as having a health care proxy and to discuss with them options for  life sustaining treatment or organ donation.)

End of Life Doulas  (EOLDs) and online information can help one understand that various laws may come into play even if one is wanting to die a 'natural death' with palliative care so other people and wishes should be clarified in an advance directive or MOLST (Medical Order regarding Life Sustaining Treatment.)

Back to younger family matters, many factors arise when one or more children are born (or maybe even adopted) to know how a parent may abuse them and the mother (typically.)

The travesty of what Has happened in courts, resulting in 60K  protective mothers losing custody of their children and about a thousand mothers being slain annually needs to be a warning to all currently in tricky situations.

It is Not an even playing field. The judges, attorneys and all involved in court cases and domestic abuse and child welfare, school and family services need to be educated on better practices to replace a broken system that resulted in a "cancer in the courts" as Newsweek once described tragic custody court outcomes.

All the best to everyone finding needed resources to address each stage of life with an eye toward safety, security and support from societal with practical guidelines.

The 13th annual BMCC, Battered Mothers Custody Conference, should be covered by the press in every state so more victims and their legal team can learn about key strategies and resources to save as many of them as possible.

The books from Civic Research Institute on this topic should again be available in every state. Someone taking up that cause would be making an Olympic Torch running effort to shine a light on the most pressing matter every woman and child, and yes, some men face too often alone or in a medley of mixed and sometimes deadly strategies.

Failure to protect a child or victim (sometimes a cause for removing a child from a protective mothers) can be deemed a societal shortcoming. All the best for daring to care and share wisdom and advocacy, starting with the basics from here to the court houses to The White House and beyond.
