Hello AARP and all 50-Year-OIds..I have an important announcement to make..April 10th (every year) is  hereby now "50-Year-Olds" Day. The math and even concept is a bit tricky, but nothing we can't handle in these modern times.

I'll crunch the numbers for you. Forty years can be calculated as 4 x10 to get 40. April is the 4th month of the year which makes a nice time to represent 40 year olds..now count 9 days into April to represent the 41 ( on 4-1) through 49 (on 4-9), then it's easy to arrive count "50" on 4-10.

Then, on May 1st there's the date for 51 year-olds, and with May 10th being

As the mother of teenager Kaelan Paton who died trying to rescue a friend against great 
odds on June 16th, 2009, I ask that all adults, parents, teenagers and children and 
community and governmental leaders Voluntarily take strong measures to promote safety 
and non-violence at all levels. 
 
 The PLANS (People Living and Learning with Agreements and Networking through Schools 
and Societal Laws and Practices) we live by and create impact everyone.

Seeing Zejke's (sounds like Zeek) post  of a video clip of raging waters at a waterfall. I really appreciate the direct advice to steer clear of such water, and be well-prepared with life vests, cell phones, skilled supervision and parental permission (from Both Parents when there's any question about the safety of a place, person or activity, all of which should be withing town and state ordinances)...We really need to have some forums on safety for people of all ages..and Let US-All face it, a life vest can only do so much even in much calmer water. Girls Night O-U-T!! In Danbury Fri 3/28 from 7-11pm

Anybody going to Girls Night Out in Danbury CT on March 28th, 2014? Sounds like too much fun to miss, so yours truly hopes to attend. So far, I've got directions to the Matrix Conference Center and a friend game to drive, so it's looking more possible, especially with a night off (not a given for many a woman, especially a mom or caregiver). If you go, consider you are  representing batches of awesome women who really couldn't find the time or the money or ride to go
