Remembering a Young CT Mom whose fall on stairs in a NY Subway Station will hopefully Move Our Hearts!

on Thu, 02/14/2019 - 19:25

On January 28th, 2019, a sudden turn of events claimed the life of a young mother. She was carrying her 1-year-old child in a stroller down steps in a NY subway  and fell. Authorities are looking into all factors about her health and the steps and what may have contributed to the tragic loss and major sounding bell of concern for all about safety. Out of respect for the family, I will not include the mother's name in full but reference her as "Ma Good", though it has been in the papers. Ideally funds can be raised for this family or have been. I will look into that next.

Wishing All of the Livfully Readers and Circles a Joyful, Vivacious Valentine's Day!

on Thu, 02/14/2019 - 04:42

Hello to all of you on Valentine's Eve... and into Valentine's proper. I have put more effort into posts from previous years, and hopefully by Next Year, I'll have the posts numbered and switched over to a WordPress format. 'Til then, I wish each and every person a special day this February 14th. For those with a birthday on or near the 14th, hope you don't mind sharing and that the idea of love in the air in a kind, respectful, cool, friendly way makes your day all the nicer.

Same if you got married or are doing so this time of year.

Breaking Through Denial...A Decade At A Time (or Decades at a Time)

on Wed, 02/13/2019 - 03:27

Listening to a group meditation on the tonight's program on www.marianne.com (which is up for a another 65 hours or so), she encouraged us to think of the applications of her message to our personal lives and the wider public situations and relationship we are each experiencing. I have been thinking about the last few decades of my own life, and realize 'if I'd known then what I know now' I might have done some things differently. I have heard as much from women in their 70s and 80s...

When they made decisions to be in relationships, even to be in committed relationships and have children

As more people comprehend the dynamics of power, control, brainwashing, cultural and religious influences...and the politics that 'keep things in perpetual motion', then we can collectively step into a more level playing field...

When people feel empowered as part of teams and not isolated and depleted, great things can happen...and even 'small steps' toward feeling and healing, allowing new support and pathways to open up and maybe (the eternal optimist in me) some mending (with lots of supervision and ongoing monitoring of agreements and not taking chances to have private interactions

"A Buffalo Crossing the Street" (and a Neil Diamond kind of fellow) all in Brooklyn NY

on Wed, 02/06/2019 - 21:11

Okay, so I saw a photo of buffalo crossing the street at the art show at St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn NY. The show, Expressions: SJC Faculty & Staff is in the Alumni Room Gallery in Tuohy Hall on the Brooklyn NY Campus.

Overall a delightful show visually, with special times to meet the artists (including Feb. 16th from 1-3pm with a dessert reception.) Now for the gem of a fellow named Neil, he's for real and deserves a lot of applause for his steadfast, almost super-human efforts to keep everyone informed about what's happening on the music scene in Brooklyn (and Not Only Brooklyn) NY.
