Great Reflections Sometimes Disappear on a FB Post, so trying to recapture those

on Tue, 02/23/2021 - 14:19

Inspired by the photos by Lazlo Gyorsok of West Cornwall CT on FB, I often share those to inspire others with the beauty of nature in our tri-corner MA/NY CT area. On the Northwest Corner Chatter FB page there was a nice picture of the Covered Bridge and that's on his FB page as well I've discovered along with much of his work thankfully..

That said, I got reflecting about the powerful connection our family has had with the Housatonic River that runs from MA to CT into Long Island Sound in Westport CT, another area I lived near when I was at Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield.

I'm hearing a talk from the Norfolk Library of CT about Margaret Wise Brown, great name for writing books and being like a clue to the likes of 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" Here's the link to the talk I am hearing that's only up until 11:59 pm tonight! Sorry about that...

Here are a few pointers from the talk today.Key to the success is sharing this information in your local and wider areas!

Ginny Apple of the CT DEP gave a talk online on zoom via the DM Hunt Library in Falls Village  CT. She shared many basic facts about their species and behavior. Pups are born in the spring in litters of about 7 and becoming mobile by six weeks. She shared many photos and some sound bites as well as stories that some people feed wild life (foxes, coyote and others) that diminish the more natural distancing and is not a good idea.

Two Fires at the Same Location with 72 from the First in a Crypt below the 2nd structure, Monumental Church ... from the news today about the past

Monumental Church is becoming known to more people from a story about it on a show about fires (which I just saw today so am sharing since I wanted to learn more and imagine more of you will also want to tune into.) After reading these two resources I learned that happened in Virginia and that the Governor at the time died in the event, possibly trying to save others as did many returning in once they got out or amidst the challenges of trying to empty a crowded theater under alarming circumstances.

I realize anyone with family, social or legal problems has a lot to address...and there's no clear road map or compassion committee to go to (though calling 911 in an emergency even with brewing tensions could result in wellness check...and asking for help through 211 or seeing more resources in advance on 211.org even in neighboring states or from national hotlines such as from an organization like RAINN (which is about sexual assault support so that may be part of healing for many people over the generations to know there is a place that deals with that...anonymously, but also look at
