Inspired by the photos by Lazlo Gyorsok of West Cornwall CT on FB, I often share those to inspire others with the beauty of nature in our tri-corner MA/NY CT area. On the Northwest Corner Chatter FB page there was a nice picture of the Covered Bridge and that's on his FB page as well I've discovered along with much of his work thankfully..

That said, I got reflecting about the powerful connection our family has had with the Housatonic River that runs from MA to CT into Long Island Sound in Westport CT, another area I lived near when I was at Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield.

Ginny Apple of the CT DEP gave a talk online on zoom via the DM Hunt Library in Falls Village  CT. She shared many basic facts about their species and behavior. Pups are born in the spring in litters of about 7 and becoming mobile by six weeks. She shared many photos and some sound bites as well as stories that some people feed wild life (foxes, coyote and others) that diminish the more natural distancing and is not a good idea.
