Amara Granderson is a blacktress, public speaking instructor, teaching artist, and playwright with an MFA in Acting from UC San Diego. Originally from Brooklyn, she has found a home in the artistic haven that is LA. Select works include: A Raisin in the Sun, for colored girls..., Romeo 'n' Juliet, Everybody Black, Electra, Antigone. She is incredibly grateful for her family, friends, and mentors, and their support and belief in the urgency of her art.
