Let's see more of us understand the need to have safe boundaries, read the warming signs such as from Gavin de Becker's Gift of Fear and that for Teens as well. She says watch out for those who use contempt (feeling superior and dismissive of the other person or people.) Look, listen, probe, be curious. Have dignity and consider the consistencies in a person telling a story... an honest person will be upset if accused throughout an interview, but will be consistent no matter how asked to recount what happened. Some very sad information shared about a mom who did her children in, faking grief...Then real grief shared by another mother. Maybe that's not the easiest to consider, but the important to become wiser about. Likely we need to have a lot of 'liespotters' in counseling and before conflict mediation sessions since there is an assumption of truth and goodwill. lLet's think carefully about what's what and who's saying what... Okay here's to a more honest world and life experience...
