Happy 4th of July 2020!When cancelling or postponing big events, consider Zooming or smaller groups gathering outdoors or making calls over time

Great idea... we did one for our Vassar one (and will actually try to have our 35th next year in its place.) That said if you folks want to plan something over that way near the campus (it's first weekend in June) there are usually fireworks so plenty of time to plan a way to take those in...find friends to camp out in their yards etc...

That's Just for this 10 yr reunion group...and maybe those from the early 1980s (just kidding, it's great idea to find a way to celebrate along with any event that may actually be held that has a big shebang or other special public aspects like concerts and so on as part of it.) I have promoted that idea for decades but now that 'there's hardly anything going on' it could catch on for when things do get hoppin'...

Good luck and let's not wait to find ways more ways to hear from one another whether direct Housy folks or just in the area...the local schools and even the private ones need our sense of community to be Stronger than Ever!

See more ideas on Livfully.org for ways to help that be more the case than not...in easier ways than most realize...or brave trying, even with some good sleep and deep breaths during the day and expectations that things will be fine and happen without worry or even exacto game plans (I know that last one seems like a stretch, but the idea is not Not limit ourselves...or the universe that wants to 'fill our order' once we specify things in the realm of positive and for the greater good...)

Lastly, Happy 4th of July and maybe find a way to connect with four others today or this month for a bit whether on FB or a call or thereabouts and think positively about high school, college or other friends from over the years.. .that nurtures the tree roots as it were... and each month take time for yourself too and a few more connections...it all adds up especially in this critical year of Voting in a November 2020, right around the proverbial corner.

We may have to skip Christmas in July to focus on the right stuff (or blend in the voting with the winter celebrations in the summer so enthusiasm builds and CV doesn't trick people from not being able to enjoy company. Social distancing outdoors seems the best plan if wanting to see people...Good Luck To Everyone, especially the current grads and all students going forward.... It really is a whole new world.
