Discovering Ways to Help Oneself and Others, Offer and Receive Forgiveness, Promote Health and Plans for Serious Medical Issues or The End Zone of Life

Dear Debra Poneman and the rest of the world...I am adding a lot to the initial letter of thanks as I am moved, so bear with me...and read as you may find time or make time to do so...no pressure.
Thanks so much for this Say Yes to Success program. I appreciate all the intros, bonuses and of course the program itself. I'm feeling more excited about the whole summer.

I heard the short piece on forgiveness in which an African elderly woman not only forgave the two men who killed her husband and son during Apartheid carnage (one burn killed heinously in front of her), but asked one to be her son and come visit twice a month to share the love she still had in her heart for her deceased family. She wanted to embrace him to assure him he was forgiven, in keeping with the final prayer of her husband who prayed 'Father forgive them'.

The white man who she was going over to forgive fainted. The roomful of people quietly sang Amazing Grace while she went to his aid. Asking us to look deeply at what we feel needs forgiving and then to allow forgiveness on both parts..the giving and receiving is an invitation that will find it's way into our world discussion.

Our world has stopped long enough to focus on tragedies and crimes that have become embedded in our culture, so 'now is the time' to set things right one swift step at a time. The playing out of who will tend to those found guilty of crimes and grave misdemeanors will be part of the ongoing healing.

But it's mainly a time for pausing and reflecting deeply on what has transpired over generations, centuries, countries and continents. As containers of the human spirit our human forms are being tasked with rising above to find a new level of understanding, respect and even of greater love than we have dreamed possible...

It's a powerfully challenging time and one that will propel us into a new era many say and waves of protests and gatherings are giving voice to. All of the concerns need airing and considering, respecting and addressing. Then more peace can prevail.

That reminded me of a movie from a while back called Long Night's Journey Into  Day. That's about an American woman Fulbright scholar Amy Biehl who went to help in apatheid but was killed. Her parents went over to continue her work..and forgive those who killed her.

I think I got that title right...unless I mixed it up with a movie about a woman who got stuck with two fellows on boat that was caught in a storm. Those were both true stories..and the trio survived even though they weren't found for 10 days or more..unheard of. Dana Ashbrook was in the film so I'll have to look that up...Desperate Journey: The Amy Wilcox Story.

I have a blog Livfully.org and do outreach as I can about the passing of our teen son Kaelan Alexander Palmer Paton... and maybe that will be a big part of what I do as a 'mission based entrepreneur'.

Some other things I am doing currently include informing people about  the free site MyDirectives.com  and educating the public as an Advanced Care  Planning Educator (ACPE) and End of Life Doula (EOLD.) I am working with a group to help people have a good option to make a video fo their healthcare choices  after speaking witha a medical professional (even if TBD, to be determined about organ donation for instance) and their healthcare representative for a national data base (for a fee.)

I am also studying with Dr. Ritamarie online about insulin resistance and blood glucose monitoring (jazzy stuff, yes?) I will be able to help people along those lines in terms of checking their levels and becoming more aware of symptoms (not prescribing anything or doing medical work, just education.)

I hope we can all hear a lot about the positive efforts and responses people are making in these challenging times. Thanks to all finding ways to inspire others, inform and 'fight the good fight' with love and peace is the main mission...and justice of course.  There's a place for everybuddy in the future of equality, justice, peace and prosperity..and love unfolding with each New Day!
