Before TANSH (Tragedy at Newtown Sandy Hook) in 2012 and after Our Teen Son's Tragic Heroic Passing in 2009
To Whom It May Concern (initially more personalized) but a page from the past...in early Dec 2009, three years before Sandy Hook loss in Ct. I am sending this link to programs at Crystal Essence in Great Barrington MA along as I was looking for the story I wrote called 'Angel Family Snowflake'. I feel that story sums up any family that kindly forms over the years, even if there are changes where family members are not together in the same ways they were, whether moving, schooling, or even in our case having one go back to the heavens.. The energy and love is still there and part of our journeys. Kaelan's effort and life was honored last night at HVRHS at the end of the school's sports awards. They gave our family two Varsity Letters " H" and I feel we each deserve one along with Kaelan for braving all we've been through. Many people have told me of their losses and challenges, and everyone wants the best for each of us. I got to see a K-5 concert today and will see it tonight too, at least her part ( I take a class and will leave early). All the kids looked great and the little ones, adorable. The music was a nice variety and touching on many shores of the world. There is a lot more in common among the 6 billion of us on the planet than not, but sadly, the wars and troubles seem to get our lives going in a difficult direction. Pres. Obama will speak on TV tonight and likely is sending 30K more troops to Iraq. Plenty of them will be in tough situations like Kaelan faced, and are only a few years older than he was. I was starting to think of how he'd have to sign up for a draft at 18, and realize that is the case for many young men and women. Please speak with us at length if you ever think of signing up. Ideally, we will have a Peace Department and find many ways to avoid letting conflicts escalate to such extremes. There are many ways to help ourselves and others in the world, and mostly, it's about learning to feel our own feelings in an honest way, allowing ourselves to talk with a few others about important values and morals, being fair and accountable with money and our dealings, and getting basic needs met without pushing for 'wants' which we cannot readily afford or pay back in a timely fashion. That's all the wisdom I have for now.. I did get to go to a long workshop with Terah, and eventually I'd be happy to show you her book and see if you want to do a writing workshop. She's very creative and helpful in encouraging writing and dreaming out loud on paper and 'with the angels' (we each get three linked to our birth, and it's rather fun to see which ones overlap in family or group. One is based on the actual day and time period of birth, so two people have two of the same angel, curiously enough--both born after midnight (Vehuliah which is about will and new beginnings)--someone and Kaelan, and then another linked to the 5-day period around one's birth...so they share another as the dates would have it. I share one with Juliana for 'youth and rejuvenation'. Shan and Sandy (who had the same birthday as Therese) share an angel as does Caroline with Sandy (each angel for the birthdays has five separate days throughout the year and their's lined up, so really so does Shan's and Caroline's). Well, overall the theory is that the angels are watching over us and helping us develop our higher selves with knowledge and love that we can feel in our hearts and minds and use in our growth and ability in the world to be our kinder, gentler selves. Oftentimes, we are picking on ourselves (saying we are not good enough, smart enough, loved enough due to 'old tapes from how we responded to things from long ago, even from when we were very young.) So, let me know if you'd like to know anymore..I wish you a happy concert and holiday season and hope to see you around the neighborhood..I likely will go to my day-long workshop Saturday but hope people can enjoys the crafts and can get to the Church Fair Sat from 10-2pm..and church! Peace and luv,
