Each Day Counts Like a Month Coming Into the Homestretch. Please advocate for Evan McMullin to go easy to throw the election to the House Of Representatives for a chance to become President. Maybe that'd be better than Trump, but too risky...
(Please note, this is on www.medium.com or
www.medium.com@birdiful or with
my name Catherine Paton in
a better format. But this is better than nothin'...)
Once upon a time there was a group of people
who landed
in what would become the country of America
or
the United States of A-Miracle. Now the
horserace for the 2016 US
Presidential Election is in full swing... and please
may Hillary come
out as the winner most realize she should be,
and yes, be held to
high standards and transparency of
actions that we should know about.
There were people here
already who paid a horrendous price for
their hospitality.
As many have said and I shared
once with our son, "no good deed
goes unpunished"
in response to people not being
willing to appreciate
someone's good efforts even if
they benefit from them.
Backwards as that is, it still
rings true at times,
maybe for reasons that will
be more 'comprehensible'
(but not easy to cope with necessarily)
when all is revealed by those
with that sixth sense or
when 'all things are revealed'.
Many healer types say
that truthfulness about
feelings,
words spoken and those
withheld (when they
should be
spoken to defend an innocent
person or even promote
fairness)
will all be part of
a great accounting.
Same goes for actions
and inactions.
Not to drive ourselves
nuts, but at a certain
point having some clarity
about values and
how to live with 'integrit
y and purpose'
to keep those values in
action and
benefitting one's
community makes sense.
Maybe all political candidates would agree
with that in principle. If they cannot actually
share where they have fallen short, that is 'on them'.
It is also on US-All to consider 'what really matters
and what we can do about things" now and in
the future. Likely we need more people working
to keep those at the top 'honest and accountable',
and have backups and follow up plans and people in place.
If in the end, when roll call comes, we have a choice
among people who are either not capable or dishonest
'past a reasonable limit as in intentional or creating
danger or fatalies beyond what anyone expected or
condoned during times of war and such with
transparency as much as possible', then we
all pay a price. How much and for how long will
likely come to light 'over the course of
the near and more distant future'.
Still, thinking of The Next Seven Generations
in terms of living with sustainability in mind
makes good sense. Political plans factor into
the big picture not only for older people today
but for future older generations and those who
are younger and the next wave of people
filling those roles. Let's pull together and do
what we can especially in UTAh where there
may be the greatest risk of 'throwing the
election to the House of Representatives if
a third candidate causes a tie
of sorts between Hillary and Donald.
.My votes are going to Hillary and the Democrats
and much in part due to the counsel I get from
many people who study these matters
'hook, line and sinker' for decades and
in more recent years very seriously. We have
to work together while we have the liberty to
do so and try to do right by all in the circle,
not keep up with corporate agendas and
Republican agendas which seem to favor
the few with hopes of a trickle down effect.
That's all for this minute, but like the LEAVES
(see poem by Kaelan Paton on this blog with that title)
changing colors and finding their way to the next
cycle of nature when we cast our votes let's do so
with what will serve the greater good in mind, both
other people, animals, nature and international
efforts in our one small but mighty plan-it heart.
Clear your calendar to Vote on November 8th, 2016
and help a friend or group of folks make sure
they get there too with a word of inspiration.
