#SuperBowlSafetySunday and Beyond: We Can and Must Set Things Right for Victims of Abuse of All Ages!
The complaint: https://bit.ly/3i7kEx8 https://pic.twitter.com/N2Ld26wDDg is an eye opener...Women putting forth the cause for safety with their children when seeking protection from abuse especially when systems and courts are weighing in.
Most people think,"Doesn't that just happen already? Haven't there been agencies and resources to support women to get out safely with their kids immediately and for the long haul?"
There may be some of that but it's not a guarantee, and no the courts have been found to be horribly remiss! Let's Turn That Game Around, as though going into a Double Overtime..Helping Victims and their children get safe and stay safe.
Often the abusive party (generally the father or boyfriend) harms himself or kills himself if doing others in (one out of three times he takes his own life if ending others in his 'social or romantic or controlling interactions.' So really the tragedy to prevent is huge.
Let's do the right thing and get Senators to Pass VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) including Kayden's Law that would keep kids safe with their protective parent (generally their Mom.)
All parents should be up for a team of support and accountability, drive when sober and safe, live with kids when again safe and appropriate (and yes sober would be good, so bring in extra help if not up for the job of watching out for others.)
Thanks for all everyone is doing along these lines and let's play ball!
