Spencer Klavan and Andrew Klavan Shows Online... Check them out
Once in while I check out Twitter and lately I've been retweeting all sorts of things. In the midst of doing That, I found someone that aier.org liked. I checked out who was following them (which I've never done or thought to do, maybe I did it by mistake meaning to just press 'follow' but landed on 'followers' thinking I'd add my name to the list.
I ended up following a bunch of folks I wouldn't normally seek out, including Donald Trump (the Pres, yes, that one..) So then I came across the name of Andrew Klavan and even though I thought I was already following him, I wasn't necessarily doing so on Twitter...and Then I saw he was following Spencer Klavan (who I know is his son...and last saw when he was about 5 years old...as friends in Sharon CT when they had a house here
I met them because I offered piano lessons to his sister Faith who is also a writer...and now I'll have to see if she has online talks too, but I actually got to see her a few years ago.) I had liked a tweet Andrew had offered that said 'the Klavan males only have one voice and take turns using it..." So for a minute I wondered if he were referring to a brother or cousin...
But when I got to Spencer's site...I had to smile when I heard his deep voice that is similar to his Dad's but I think deeper. Then I heard he's exploring the Classics and went to Oxford and just "Wow!" I knew he'd have a great life but this was clearly a passion he pursued among many options...
So very excited to start listening to his side passion project as he works at the Claremont Institute...so I am looking into that...and I can see that may bring up more posts to convey and critique that organizaton...
Also I then came across a podcast by Brene Brown so I'll share that... Here's an address she gives too;https://youtu.be/ndP1XDskXHY
I listened to this as I was typing this post... Then there's a movie called Juliet Naked they're mentioning as I wrap up. They share these shows are about vulnerability...
Unlocking Us with Brené BrownBrené Brown and Cadence13 (this is a talk with Judd Apatow, the author of Forty Year Virgin among other things)
"I'm talking with Judd Apatow, who has directed, produced, and written many of the biggest comedy films and hit TV shows of the last two decades. We look at what's funny, why it's funny, and why laughter creates connection. We also uncover that thin line between humor and grief and what it means to tell the stories of our lives in a way that we recognize ourselves and our shared humanity."--Brene Brown
