"Sharon The Brooklyn Angel"..one of many amazing people but one still leading the way to give and receive

I am reemembering a wonderful friend from the past few years of getting to know her kind and generous spirit in special ways since I heard of her passing when I was in Kent CT. I encouraged her family to think of the outreach done for local charities by Kent Presents (whose talks will be online for all.)

These kinds of big dreams coming true would have brought a big smile to Miss Sharon's bright face and she would have prayed a blessing that all would go smoothly and that everyone involved from speakers to hosts and recipients would be richly blessed in their efforts. She would have likely had her church learn about such efforts and encourage another outreach down this way as she also was one to help spread good ideas and join in with the programs that could help the community whether with school supplies or care for the elderly or others in need.

Now I'm in Brooklyn for a couple of days. There's a Paypal acct set up for her family under Stephanie to help with expenses if anyone is feeling so moved. The link is https://www.paypal.me/SharonTheBklynAngel

Her husband of over 3 decades is Bill (and father of their son William Jr also) is part of the Total Soul music group that has enlivened many special events.

They have a great site online with clips of the good times which is what their family, and Sharon-an event planner--had a flair for. She also sang with her church, Brown Memorial Baptist in Brooklyn.

She had wanted to visit me up in CT, and with my connections with Sharon CT, I will honor that as well and invite her family and our neighbors to partake in a nice event in our area in September.

I had hoped to have folks come help with the big block party she has organized for over a decade here each August. But sudden changes in her health led to her physical decline and then her passing.

The community here is mourning her loss while planning for her service where much of her large family will be next week. Even in these big towns there's a lot of 'caring networking going on' that needs nurturing whether through faith groups. housing and community building and just being neighborly. Thanks a bundle for your support and prayers for this and every family facing the storms of life. Let's make sure everyone feels cared for in such times. These outreaches can help the support add up and the healing increase for those braving going on with courage and greater love!
