Sharing with the Wider World About A Widespread Problem and Need...Keeping Community Strong and Clubs Intact

on Mon, 03/14/2022 - 15:16
If it's okay to share here...I am trying to figure out the 'theories, nuts and bolts' about keeping a Toastmasters.org club going that's been in the Southern Berkshires of MA for 25 years and has had a hundred or more members over that time.
I have been a member for many years and hope to learn more about ways the overall organization could lend more guidance and support to help all members know what it takes to transition competently (even to just zoom meetings.)
I feel this is something more states, towns, schools and faith and other clubs and groups would be wise to look into in terms of making transitions more smooth and successful and keeping the energy and investment going.
The monetary investment is not that high but rather getting people to join, learn the leadership and guidance roles with their online Pathways program and have other experienced people team up is what I am exploring.
Even in times of the pandemic and the world conflicts with refugees, permaculture and teaming up to help people maintain connections on many levels and get basic needs met are skills more people could learn and use to address concerns and practical needs too.
Thanks if you can PM me or see their FB page before it comes down. There are two final meetings planned and maybe a window of keeping the club intact (to avoid having to reach a higher membership level to start a new one...)
This club could meet on zoom so anyone could join from around the country (or world.) I'm grateful to have time to think of such things as my work and life are full to the brim at times... Best to all!
I cover more on my blog that I will post in another part in case that's not allowed and would be removed...or maybe I can put it on VassarNet.com with a request for some help with that!
