Sharing more timely insights about important advocacy for people throughout life and more
Wishing everyone a happy summer and Make Music 2019 Day on June 21st.
By the way, I have a new program from Suzanne O'Brien about "peace of mind' about end of life planning' that may be very helpful. I think we can help many people by addressing many points she offers in her intro talk (or the whole program) which is discounted for those hearing the talk for 72 hours.... I have taken other programs with her for End Of LIfe Doula training and encourage more people to learn early and often about 'all sorts of things' that are important to know long before you need them.
There really should be many free basic programs along these lines, and there are..yet hearing from people who have been in the field of nursing (Hospice and Oncology) as well as working to do key development to have EOLD and Hospice work complement one another's services for those needing or wanting one or both provides a special context for learning these things from Suzanne's program Doulagivers.
There are more requirements to obtaining a certification from her program (or others) but these are not legal requirements, so really the field is 'wide open' in many respects for helping people in non-legal, non-medical services. Yet having an understanding of what may be helpful in those respects is introduced in the Peace of Mind Program.
Many of the concepts she shares can be applied to other areas of life and help people consider things from important perspectives. Thanks for sharing your resources and more as you can..and mostly for 'being there for one another' in balanced ways. I explore more of course on livfully.org over the years..and am finding more people to network with in many important areas not covered on mainstream media.
Hopefully some people can attend or view the talk at The American Tort Law Museum in Winsted by the family of the late Samya Stumo's and advocates on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019.
There will be an ambitious fellowship established in Samya's name to help keep the efforts she made in bringing healthcare to the poor in foreign countries to fruition. See Thinkwell.org for more information...and let's live in the state of gratitude and great possibilities for healing and helping one another at all stages of life in these critical times for our world. Peace and light...
