This September and October encourage others to VOTE in November! The Democrats say they need the women's vote to win, so if you're a Democrat, get other women on board and help spread the word. The talk on www.catv6.com features Dan Malloy and the post on this site covers some of the progress being made in reducing the deficit and creating jobs. Still more needs to be done and great things are happening for people across the economic and life span.

I will add highlights to this post soon, but Governor Malloy has stabilized the CT budget with a surplus and has made innovative investments to enhance UCONN Medical and Bioscience, Tourism and Economic Development, Housing and Child Care and Education as well as Community Development Projects.

Each season we must work together to PLAN AHEAD for our collective success on all levels. Schools are ready for our students, but we need more help getting students ready to succeed. Ideally everyone would have a team of support.

Think of who can help you and how you can help others, in your area, at local schools and groups and yes, politically, when the pay-offin November can be leadership for the policies and programs that will benefit all in your state, particularly those needing and deserving a hand up not just a hand-out. Each person is worth caring about and providing basics for so they can use their skills to help themselves more efficiently and contribute to the common good with less need for crisis services.
