Wild Earth Needs Your Support!
Over the last 3 months, Wild Earth has shown up for our local communities and now we need our community to show up to sustain our organization!
We have pivoted to provide weekly remote learning activities for our school partners, helped Kingston high school seniors reflect on their accomplishments before graduation, and contributed hundreds of hours to mutual aid and emergency food efforts!
We also had to cancel spring programs, reduce our summer camp to 1/5 of its expected size, furlough important members of our staff, and return hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue.
Despite these challenges, we know that we are fortunate! We have grown through these trying moments, feel more resilient and resolved to continue our work.
This tension over time has built our collective muscle and we feel empowered to support our school communities when classes resume (in-person or virtually), to adapt our fall weekend programs to the new realities of COVID-19, and to continue encouraging our youth to build their leadership, as this is so needed right now!
But first, we will step into the unknown next week when we relaunch our programs with our modified summer camp! We are prepared and confident that we have designed a safe experience for our participants, but like with every moment of growth, your support matters!
This is the time to support the change we want to see in the world!
Between now and Thursday, we encourage you to donate any amount to support Wild Earth! Whether you can give $25 or $250, it makes a difference! We probably won't be able to replace the lost revenue, but giving what you can matters.
Last year, we had 25 people support our pre-camp fundraiser; this year, we want to see at least 50 people give!
With your support, we will continue sharing our gifts and help young people grow physically, emotionally and in community with one another. In the woods, we uncover the potential we all possess!
With Immense Gratitude,
-WE
