Pamela Turner Trial Begins May 25th, 2021, a year after George Floyd's Life Was Ended by Derek Chauvin
Hearing Attorney Ben Crump on a video conference outdoors in a noisy part of Houston TX, I learned of the horrendous turn of events that resulted in the shooting death of Pamela Turner who had tried to get a useless taser from a police officer who knew it would not fire again. She was going to be served papers apparently by the officer in a way which is not typical as she was going to put her trash out. It was heartbreaking to hear of the turn of events that quickly ended her life, with the policeman not having grounds for shooting her point blank in the face five times.
Each shot fired is a 'use of deadly force' that another attorney shared would be addressed in a trial of Police Officer Delacruz who is still technically on the force, not fired as would be reasonable the attorney said and generally done by most towns.
The city representatives will also be held accountable for aspects of what happened during the time and since that time in handling the situation.Ben Crump pointed out that the start of the trial will be on the one year anniversary of the killing of George Floyd.
I was grateful to learn that George's brother spoke kindly of George Floyd and his special role of helping the children in the family get up in time to be at school and helping him mother who he loved dearly.
Maybe that is reminder to all to appreciate gift every mother gives her child and all good fathers too for a decent and hopefully wonderful start in life. If people had a rough start in life, more can be done to help heal things emotionally and energetically, so true inner peace and growth can happen...and love flow on for the greater good.
I will note that at the Houston gathering for justice for Pamela Turner was being held on April 8th, 2021 which was her birthday. Others in attendance were Breonna Taylor's mother and other activist Black mothers who were standing in solidarity.
