Out of Darkness Walks --Raising awareness of suicide risks, prevention and support for survivors

on Mon, 10/01/2018 - 05:12

At  a recent Out of Darkness Walk in GB Mass, this post shares that there was a lot of positive energy to address the difficult matter of people wanting to end their own lives (or doing so), and leaving family, friends and others in challenging waters. These folks stand for many farther from the Mass. location they raised awareness and showed support for one another at in Great Barrington.

Here's to their courage and compassion...and knowing we'll benefit here in CT and in nearby NY with such efforts. Thanks to all for showing up, donating and sharing this positive healing message..."You are not alone." As I've heard some say, "Don't solve a short-term problem with a final solution..."

Lots of good resources online and in each MA/NY CT state and area. Check out
NWCT's Greenwoods Counseling which can help find resources as well as others online in alternative fields (youtube talks about our human condition, many which offer helpful theories to consider...)

Many modalities of calming and sharing may bring balance and insights... and Jenn McLean hosts good speakers as does Humanity's Team at The Shift Network.

Finding one's voice and inner hope with spiritual inspiration as well can be helpful...as can having friends to check in with and spend time with regularly (even if weekly, monthly or more online..)

Thanks for doing what you can to take small steady steps toward a more balanced way of living, thinking, loving, learning, feeling and healing... it all counts
