More on Organ Donation, Renewing a Driver's License and Not Knowing What Happens After Our Brains Stop (and then Hearts)...for three days..hmmm

on Thu, 04/06/2017 - 20:44

The other big thing (and Big Think)to remember about renewing a license for driving (at least in CT to avoid a $25 late fee,, a fairly recent expense) is to renew or discontinue your Organ Donor Status. We've all heard remarkable stories with many grateful recipient families.

We've had 'local heroes whose families and likely with their input beforehand' went on to become these most generous gift-ers. With all this, there likely is still more to learn and consider In Advance ideally of signing up, renewing or proceeding. Even knowing 'there may be no turning back from that decision' is important. As I typed this last statement a loud noise came from our front hall. I thought someone threw a package at the door or maybe banged on the door with an object. It happens to be getting dark and storming with thunder and lightning outside. So I checked, a little creeper out, and found that a light that was attached to the inside of a closet door had come loose and turned on upon landing (since its a motion-sensor light)

. Now, in case that Means Something or Speaks to Someone...like our light continues on beyond the darkness or unknown 'closeted topic' of death, then I wanted to include that. Synchronicity comes in many forms. The other big research project would be to see what various traditions (such as Tibetan Book of the Dead, The Bible, and Buddhists, etc) think about such procedures as Organ Donation...which by the way, can happen Before the Heart Stops Beating but after the brain is not 'alive' any longer with brain waves.

Rudolf Steiner offers ideas that the body may take three days to really 'die-die' (my term) , for the spirit to move Completely up and out, like an adhesive stamp being peeled off a letter. I know I have a hard time moving me and my stuff from what place to the next and enjoy reviewing what I was doing (and even thinking, via journals, etc) from the past...along with tons of emails now and other parts of life I basically seemed to miss due to a big focus on my own family and towns.

.Well, I hope to get the Cliff Notes and trust enough others can fill me in on movies, music, actors of the stage, great events, news events...and all television programming for the last thirty years. I may have watched a hundred hours or so somewhere along the line so almost know how to operate a modern television set and remote. Okay, back to the serious topics and the post gets into other serious-er topics too. Lots of food for thought..and feel free to leave a thought on any post..short and sweet it okay..
