Listening to ideas about The Doors from David Shiang on Jim Morrison in Paris

I have been hearing a talk by David Shiang about The Doors...so will mention more another time, but taking note of this on July 3rd, 2021, 50 Years after his passing on July 3rd, 1971 in Paris under mysterious circumstances (and not immediately disclosed.) No One Gets Out of Here Alive is book about him.The  book called Origins And History Of Consciousness offers insights that are worth looking into as well.

Some people offer that we are in a culture war...and it's hardly safe to talk about theories (much like when The Doors took the stage...and a movie about him as referenced by George Will for instance misses the mark, other experts say. Here are a few ideas shared by some hearing the various views... David Shiang has much more on the subject he has available online.

--I think that Door’s songs being played on the radio is perhaps a Bay Area thing? Door songs not being played in Washington-Baltimore area…
