See more on Livfully.org (Remembering Kaelan and other posts too...) to reflect on the importance of having safety plans and agreements and keeping them! Especially as the weather warms and kids and others are out exploring the wondrous outdoors. Let's not kid ourselves about the Edge of Danger and the Risks at play with not doing what we know makes sense...including driving reasonably and not passing when not needed, not running stop signs and intersections (such as in quiet Falls Village at the red blinking light or the one other light by the high school...)
Pretty much have a buddy support system with an eye toward safety not 'assuming safety in numbers'...sometimes that's why the risk to drive or do something dangerously mounts!
Okay thanks for tuning in and helping the teens and parents of today learn from past challenges and yes, heartbreaking and costly tragedies (for the victims and their families, and even at times the rescue workers put in harm's way needlessly...)
Have a blast but do so at amusement parks on rollercoasters or with hikes and cell phones with coverage or other ways to send up SOS signals (and honk a horn if you need help to get someone the message whether responding or needing the help...) Thanks again and let's think it through and practice drills even of preventing harm by keeping someone from risking their life to try against great odds to save another.
It's a difficult choice but one professionals and others have been trained to face as necessary since forces (fires, water and such) may claim more than not if precautions for safety are not prioritized reasonably with the right gear and support team etc. PM me if you want to join in these public outreach and education ideas...best to all and thanks for bringing your A Game to Every day!
