Like the Leaves the Grow and Change, so do the seasons of our lives, and people in them...Reflections on Kaelan Paton's passing June 16th, 2009 in the MA/NY CT tri-corner area
Remembering Kaelan Paton
LEAVES
by Kaelan Palmer Paton, age 9
Lovely colors like a painting
Eventful seasons with extraordinary golds
Amazing shapes like thin ice on the water
Valuable reds fill the air
Easy yellows come down before deep oranges
Simple browns come down last but not least
It can be comforting to reflect on the personality and spirit of a person who is no longer walking the Earth. A youtube video of a Memorial Service for Kaelan Paton may bring others comfort if facing difficulty or loss. CT teacher Monica Connor spoke endearingly of her former Sharon Center School student Kaelan Palmer Paton at a large and mainly festive gathering at the school a month after he passed on June 16, 2009 in the Housatonic River in Falls Village CT when trying to save a fellow teen. Rope rescuer Skip Kosciusko risked his own life and succeeded in saving the youthful fellow Kaelan had tried valiantly to help after swimming a fair distance in dangerous waters and reaching his friend briefly.

There are more ideas shared on my blog, www.livfully.org, which explore ideas about sudden loss, difficult challenges in life and relationships and concerns for larger challenges.
Some say we can get help from our dreams, prayers and connections to those “on the other side.” Likely we have more help than most can imagine from other kind souls here on Earth and in the spiritual realm (and ideally if there is life on other planets, from those beings too, which www.tomreed.info explores about local possible visits.)
The hardest part for many in a life challenge (end of a relationship, illness or death, for instance) is feeling things are not fair, not anticipated or that there is nothing one can do to change what Did Happen and How Things Are Because of That.
A spiral of feelings, questions, conversations and readings can allow one to explore the 'nuts and bolts' of one's world view, and wrestle with aspects of life not often touched upon for long in the regular world of business or one's social life.
Psychics such as Patti Sinclair and authors Mark Anthony and Bill Phillips paint a colorful array of possibilities that could likely help humanity as we face our collective future. I had a time of meeting with each of them and every time there were positive messages from Kaelan, as is often the case with loved ones still encouraging people to live well and not to grieve beyond measure. For many months that can be easier said than done, and it's all a human process more are exploring with care and in greater numbers mostly with the idea of living in harmony with oneself and others, a spiritual or higher power and the greater good in mind.
One psychic's message shared with me recently by a friend was that Kaelan's efforts were instrumental to helping his friend be saved yet claimed his life in the process. Even without knowing that aspect or whether that's true, it all adds up to show what a beautiful, caring and courageous spirit Kaelan had and acted from in many capacities in his life.
Many rescuers shared the courage and skill it must have taken for Kaelan to dare and actually reach his friend was truly heroic. Many wish adults and youths had not allowed or pursued such a risk outing and activity, particularly in light of former warnings from many not to do so. One way to honor the loss of Kaelan's life would be for every state to promote clear voluntary yet well publicized safety guidelines precluding such trips or other high risk activities for minors (and even adults) without appropriate town guidelines and adult capable supervision if allowed.
As life is like a bridge we each cross, we will all have times of loss.
Yet the gift of love is ours to give in not only how we die but moreover in how we live.
With sincere gratitude for all who connect in positive, caring ways and keep those who have gone on ahead of us to usher in new energies and ideas possibly. Let US All keep our hearts and minds open to positive ideas and healing on many levels. There is a Memorial Facebook page named Kaelan Alexander Paton.
