Here's to Getting Inspired--The One, The Many, In Person or Online..Check Some sites out

Hi All,

I have found more ways to keep busy than planned helping some folks out in the Berkshires. Tip: If watching kids in a library Make Sure you alert the librarian and others that you'd like their help keeping any child from wandering out by his or herself in search of anyone or even wanting to check outside on someone or something in a car, etc. Yes, this kind of thing Does happen even in the modern world. Who votes for a 'kid-proof' gate when reasonable? I guess I will put out the request. Talking to each child directly and having a poster explaining the 'comings and goings' policiies of a library and each part thereof may be helpful.

Adults could be coached to stay Close to their child (within ten feet and always within steady sight, since it can take all of a few seconds for a savvy 5 year old for instance to think of getting 'up and out' of the room one is in. Maybe giving them a "pass that they need to give the librarian or at least their parent' would make sense before leaving (a safe necklace for instance.) Another idea is to have them shake the hand of the librarian (or high five, etc.) Some private schools and programs do that for their students on a regular basis to get comfortable with relating to a teacher and helping each youth be as accountable as possible.

Now back to the idea of having Fun and Tuning Into Cool Ideas: Check out www.TheCoreOfHappiness.com and www.SuccessHabits101.com to envision a brighter future. Patty Lennon offers a short audio to help one tune into their 'inner yes' versus what they Think logically makes sense. Maybe the two will concur, but a person may become aware of a different response when considering her exercise. This time of year www.marianne.com is offering exciting end of the year programs, with some replays which is practical since New Year's Eve fills up for most people (or is hard to stay awake for as is the case even for me some years. Likely I will try to nap during the day or be content to honor the idea of starting the new year off on a restful note.)

While more people are catching onto the idea of having holiday or birthday celebrations on a different day than the actual date to meet family or personal schedules, New Year's Eve is not so easily 'rescheduled..." Many areas will start the events earlier in the week or day.  A contra dance was held a couple days prior to New Year's Eve yet had that theme. Some libraries or other places host an early event at noon or as fits their programming whether for youth, elders or those in between.

Hope you find the right fit and can Keep Track of the Days of the Week and the Dates as 2017 comes to a close and 2018 begins. Happy New Year's Eve...and New Year's Day a bit early. The Chinese have a basic plan or custom wherein everyone turns a year older on Chinese New Year rather than on their birthday, so that's worth appreciating.

We get a little of each with the hoopla of the new year and personal birthdays. The Chinese also designate newborns as one year olds to honor the time they grew in the womb. I think we need a system to allow more people to think about that for themselves and their children. That system 'reflects reality' more clearly and elevates the status of babies to those who have certainly  been doing something the past 10 months (or thereabouts.)

In other posts I reflect on ways to unify people of every age (and I was typing one post out about that about six years ago when I met a good friend to be in the library. Thankfully that friend had patience to let me finish typing my post for an hour or so around 5pm, on 12/31/11. Neither of us had computers at home so that's a big part why we met...) Okay, what's been going on for you in on New Year's Eve...or other special dates. Let's make every year, month and day count in wonderful ways! Thanks for having me be part of your journey...all tens of thousands of you...HugEnergy in the New You Year of  2018!
