Hello-oh Brooklyn NY... Saw the Facebook Live for a bit and put this comment on there

News 12 on Facebook had a forum for political candidates...Here's what I put in the comments.
Grateful for this forum. I am just joining in ...I appreciate the efforts of many in the Brooklyn Community such as the late Carey Gabay and the Foundation in his memory run by his wife Trenelle and other family. The churches, colleges and others in the Clinton Hill neighborhood were offering helpful ways for people to network and enriched the community. I was able to see the late Sharon Robinson
and family work tirelessly with many others as did others from churches or other areas on organizing a Block Party that enlivened the energy in the neighborhood.
When I was spending more time in Brooklyn a few years ago, I shared ideas on Livfully.org to improve many aspects of the Fort Greene Community which may help other areas as well.
Turtle Garden Permaculture Game and Turtle Garden Circle of Friends is about creating more caring outreach from the existing natural networks for families, neighbors, faith groups and more.
There are stories too such as The Turtle and The Acorn as well as an audio of The Jewel Story by me, Catherine Palmer Paton, to spark creativity and storytelling.
The Waldorf Schools have many nice resources to encourage parents and communities in nurturing youth and others as well.
Finding ways to help youth succeed in school and finding support for skills, fitness and community networking would be great too.
Helping newcomers or any needing support to connect with a 'welcome wagon' and existing safe groups would be a plus.
Having more support for some outreach in playgrounds to promote STEM and nutrition, good care for infants and young children, support for nannies and caregivers and parents and more would be a natural fit.
The more basic care needs are met the easier it would be for people to join forces and find ways to enrich programs, playgroups (which could be many and free to all) and promote literacy and outreach at least through zoom and some visits in or near libraries and so on.
