DomesticShelters.org and Safe&TogetherInstitute Game-Changers for Victims and Agencies to Prevent and Address Abuse
Learn more about resources for all domestic violence agencies and advocates (even community based learning opportunities...) from DomesticShelters.org (free resources and trainings online to grow the wisdom and network to be better prepared to help oneself and others appropriately, as is safe and with other supports.) Somehow I found this site and feel it's a game-changer for many...especially giving a beacon of hope to many in rural areas or places they cannot find info or help easily!
This is a description of an upcoming program they are offering for agencies and maybe others as well...sign up for free...
"Do survivors reaching out to your agency experience difficulty reaching your advocates due to bad call quality, dropped calls, or long hold times? Do you have to fix mistakes by your answering service? Do they sometimes send calls to the wrong volunteer or staff member? Would you like to offer chat and text, but can't find a good option that prioritizes privacy and is easy to use? There are solutions! We'll go over common challenges that DV hotlines face, and share what we've seen work at agencies across the country."
