Discovering the Source of the Nile (or Seeking to do so by Explorer Stanley in the 1800s)

https://youtu.be/gn4bvjMh4vc is a TED Talk by Michael Robinson, who has a couple of books worth learning about regarding the Arctic and Africa, and the peoples from those places long ago.  A friend using my computer had the talk up and before cancelling out, I figured I'd see what it's about. What are some of your latest TED (Technology, Education and Design) talks of interest?

On npr.org there's The TED Talk Radio Hour that has a theme I heard of today as well. Always something to consider and share with others such as I do with people on Northwest Corner Chatter (in CT) to keep up on our toes.

For a reflective creative sharing, check out The Jewel Story  by Catherine Palmer Paton that I recorded (just once, first take a couple years ago.)

I have reflected on the experience of telling my kids that story at their request one night for an original story..with more parts the following few nights. What might come to mind if your kids or someone else asked you to tell a story?

You can retell something from the past that you've heard or read, embellish or personalize a part of your own life or imagine some aspects of 'dreams, magic and fantasy realism--animals that can talk, people who can beam themselves to another place and so forth.'

Keep the creativity flowing through the holiday or seasonal talks and times, traditions and new explorations. Being friendly and taking time to sit back and 'chillax' can make the overall experience of  a new day, week, month, year and decade all the more promising and exciting.

When we get a first crisp snowfall that blankets the hills and roads on the first day of December as has happened this December 1st, 2019, magic fills the air...and dreams awaken the soul about who may come into one's life, what meaning may emerge from the past and present possibilities...and much more. Here's to a sparkling life for one and all with lots of wonder, thanks, kindness, healing and discovery!
