A Community Outreach of Support in Order for the Earthly Parting of One Falling at the Falls

on Wed, 07/31/2019 - 19:25
The name of the person who passed at the Falls on Tuesday, July 30th, 2019 in the evening was shared in the Republican American as a man from Brooklyn, Anderson Guante. However there was confusion in some press reports giving the name of someone with the same last name but a different first name. We have now clarified that it was Anderson Guante. His body was recovered today, Wednesday, July 31st, 2019 just before 11am. May his family and friends find support for dealing with this difficult turn of events. Let us encourage one another to remember the preciousness of life and take extra measures to be safe as we go throughout our days.

Our son Kaelan's memorial service from ten years ago (when he also passed at the Falls, in his case trying to help save friends in strong currents) is on youtube in short segments. The family and friends gathering and 'celebration of his life' about a month after his passing in 2009 reflects the kind of support and care we can extend toward one another during times of change and challenge such as a sudden passing.

Some of Kaelan's friends and others have used extra caution when having fun and seeking adventures...and others 'not so much' but maybe over time everyone is finding a more reasonable 'happy medium.'

Water safety and outreach to encourage safe driving, living and relating can be ongoing efforts for each state and country's citizens to embrace. We learn from one another and could have more online discussions and practical signage to promote the use of life vests and helmets (such as boaters wear for whitewater kayaking to lessen head injuries.)

The ways people may 'fall' include going to near and edge, a slope, rushing or daring others or getting caught up in the fun or not realizing the danger. That's some of why 'watching the edge in terms of not going too close (given oneself a hundred feet then thoughtful approaches with the right care and precautions.)

Hopefully the life of this man Anderson Guante,40, can be remembered here in the tri-corner area as well as in Brooklyn NY where many have ties (including myself.) We can think of him during our upcoming block festival in Clinton Hill.

That event is in memory of a friend this year, Sharon Robinson, who passed from an aneurysm or head injury. There is more about these things on my blog livfully.org which I do as a community service and advocacy effort for many issues that the main stream media hopefully could find more ways to explore.

For now, it's time to offer this family and the circle of friends he was with our collective condolences and find ways to show our support and advocacy for their healing best as we can. Peace and light
