Coming Into 2020 With Hearts Aglow, Remembering Loved Ones, Seeking Healing and Dreaming of A Bright 2020 and Next Decade

on Sat, 12/28/2019 - 12:55
With the idea of many people connecting to make a difference gaining ground to save forums online and in print journalism, non-profits to serve spiritual, cultural, educational and many other needs and services, I would like to share some verses that I have posted over the years. I hope to list more of them on livfully.org soon and welcome input for ideas to share on that forum.

Hats off to all online and print publications, radio and community television,
groups and gatherings seeking to create meaningful, uplifting community
in 2020 and for decades to come!

I am sharing this also to reflect on the the wonderful life of our late teen son
and local hero Kaelan A. Palmer Paton.

His mortal life,  as like most of us,  began 9 months prior to his birth.
He was born at home in Sharon CT on January 6th, 1993 just after midnight.
He passed on June 16th, 2009 after saving two friends and attempting
to rescue a third at the Falls of the Housatonic River in CT.

That friend was saved by Skip Kosciusko. He speaks eloquently as do many
in their sharing on the youtube of Kaelan's Memorial Service about the difficult
events of that time.

Kaelan lived a remarkable life with support from many fields of friends
and interests such as soccer, snowboarding and kayaking.

Smart and engaged in many circles, Kaelan was much loved
as part of an extensive family, friend and community network.
That included a host of local schools, faith groups, folk festivals,
athletic teams and endeavors. That love and his legacy continues and can inspire
many to come for being a team player, kind, courageous and wise.

His legacy has much more to offer our world as we have time to reflect
on matters related to growing up in  America, taking more safety
precautions around monitoring activities (including preventing
dangerous outings and offering more support at all stages of life for
people, families and groups in general.)

I explore other aspects of the pressing needs of our times and
more about the experience from June 2009 on
Remembering Kaelan Alexander Palmer Paton.

An online and growing effort (which I welcome help with from leaders
of every state and community) to prevent danger of many kinds and
encourage people to put their best efforts forward as a team in personal
and wider circles is Thinking KAPP (Kids, Adults, Parents PLANS
PLANS stands also for People and Places Living, Learning (and Loving)
with Agreements and Networking through Socializing and
Sharing in Schools and Society.

That's a set of guiding principles and ways to feel connected to others
as a valued part of a community. Life is a team sport with an "IF" in the
middle to remind US All to dream and consider the legacies and
learning we can do together for the greater good.

Thanks for thinking of the lessons we can learn to improve the future
for US All. The Acorns to Oaks Team Outreach (A-2020) is an outreach
I have done informally for a few decades and will develop in a timely
manner to create more networks and promote advocacy on many fronts.

I welcome input at thinkingkapp@gmail.com and support in all of these
endeavors and appreciate what everybuddy is doing along these lines.
