Chris Cuomo and the Big Uh-Oh (and Dismissal from CNN!)

on Wed, 12/01/2021 - 08:42

Some folks tune into broadcasts with CNN's Chris Cuomo on a regular basis. Through the pandemic his older brother Governor of NY, Andrew Cuomo, would be on his show as a guest and keep folks informed in what some viewed as a helpful form of leadership.

The Big Problema that has emerged from CNN looking more closely at transcripts of what Chris Cuomo said to help manage the defense of Gov. Cuomo's sexual harassment and assault allegations.

According to a radio report I just heard, the concerns were not just that Chris acted in a general advisory role (still declaring there was a wall between what he says as a reporter and in personal life and work as an attorney if I recall correctly...) but that Chris suggested others take an approach to defending Cuomo as someone targeted by liberal folks (even Democrats) as part of "Cancel Culture" and show they would take down 'popular white male leaders' like Cuomo so had a smear campaign going on.

Cuomo also shared that he had information or ways to discredit or cast some in a poor light, showing that he was more involved than he shared with CNN. That's the jist of his misdemeanors leading to his dismissal effective immediately. One take away for everyone is to not formally consult with anyone in such a capacity but rather write out all of one's thoughts and suggestions and then really consider the Consequences and double check with people who may be able to be more objective and clarify why something may not be a reasonable action to take Before one take's it! I know that's not the easiest way to live and I'm not a great example of that in terms of having this very 'open minded and controversial' blog but while it's still legal and there can be a sense of inquiry, freedom and discussion, I'm braving this venture...

A song by Brandy Carlisle about 'sorrow and maybe not seeing you tomorrow' happened to be on the next show that aired (at 3am...I know rather late, but all for a good cause.
