on Thu, 08/30/2018 - 18:53

As September 2018 draws near, wruv.org has a special talk on 8/30 from 12-2pm by Hawk Storm..worth a listen (about Native American history and current efforts and more info on the Schaghticoke Confederation and modern tribal matters. The reservation of the Schaghticoke Indian tribe was in existence in 1730s, but then there was an Indian Relocation Act which put Indians in cities...There's much to consider about these issues.. Sacred Wisdom is a book with more insights (sorry I couldn't catch the whole title, about a half hour in.)

"We're colonized down to our core..." The Maori have believed that they are one and the same with the water and land.. But with the Natives... they have been 'compromised'...instead of saying the earth is our mother, they say 'this is the earth mother' not "our' mother.Hawk offer insights that basic knowledge of the seeds of the food, the history of their people and true history. The reality and truth of one's existence is not able to be grasped since everyone's roots have been compromised in the name of separatism, control, capitalism and more.

Keep these things in mind as we think of other problems 'around the world.' When things are here in our own country it makes sense to pay attention and seek solutions..which may be helpful one day in other places around the world... Peace and HugEnergy... Lisa Brooks' Book..has primary resources which can inform a real history before and during the King Phillip War.
