What are your favorite car camping hacks...I will give you a doozie..Keep plenty of clean quart size yogurt containers to catch any urgent need for using a bathroom...yes #1 or even 2, and have special bags to store those in and then empty and clean or toss in a garbage (the contents or the whole thing...) if that's not an option...That is a good plan for camping or hiking or using a car or even a subway (I know that sounds weird, but where

As people may or may not know, New York State is about to make $2.4 billion dollars available to help pay rent, maintenance, or utility arrears.  More information here.  You can't apply yet, but the application should go online at that page any day now.  Check often!

 
To be eligible, a household has to have income at or below 80% of area median income.  That's 
  • $66,850 for a household of 1
  • $76,400 for a household of 2
  • $85,950 for a household of 3
  • $95,450 for a household of 4

The program can cover up to 12 months of rent/maintenance going back

Keeping An Eye on Elders and Others At Home

To the Editor:
Much of the following pertains to supervising youth and teens and ideally for adults to take to heart to be responsible as well for living safely and keeping someone informed of their whereabouts. It is not clear 'whose job it is to care' so let's make that everyone's shared chore for the greater good!
 
What I see as problem that needs addressing is a Lack of Concern and Cross- Training among the general public to care for people at each stage of life especially youth and elders.

"Do Not Go Quietly... Conversations With Wisdom Keepers" was a great find in many emails today, from AgelessLiving.Com with a series of podcasts from March 2021 onward hosted by George and Sedena Cappannelli. In one talk about The Art of Aging with Purpose and Passion that's only 7 minutes long they cover key points (that make me want to listen to Episode 1 and 2 and others.)

Then there's this intriguing other resource...on the email. Hope more people can find help with this dynamic duo. They also have their podcasts on other major sites to listen directly....
