Sharing my Chat Notes from a Class on Civil Disobedience...and modern examples of concerns and approaches...

on Thu, 08/13/2020 - 15:54

Learning with a small group of folks with a dynamic wise teacher about various historical views about Civil Disobedience is a great opportunity. I hope to go over the talks in more depth... Short texts from Thoreau, Delmas, Ghandi and Frederick Douglas among other figures are being explored.

There's a link as well to a photo that 'speaks a thousand words' about the historical violence shown to people of color (particularly during the time of segregation.) Join in the activism for a Just Recovery so desperately needed with 350.org

on Thu, 08/13/2020 - 00:25

Important information shared on 350.org with four zoom meetings and other ways to get involved now when the chips are down!

The following letter is one I am sharing from an organization called the Network of Spiritual  Progressives. See their site at SpiritualProgressives.org. I am interested in taking the training but have to make the time. Thanks for passing along the information to get more people thinking and networking along meaningful pathways. Remember to vote in local, state and national elections too especially in this year of 2020! Best to all, Catherine Palmer Paton and blogger at Livfully.org
