Like the song "You've Gotta Have Heart", when it comes to being part of a small community or even a family, group or larger populace, you may have to dig a little deeper and commit more consciously to being a team player and doing so 'with HEART!' The legacy of a few dozen generations is all most people can begin to tune into..even a few generations..and then we are 'almost before civilization as we know it'. It's easy to take things for granted and expect the never-ending technologies, science and what-not will carry the day.

everyone chiming in here or over the years (and all who attended his Memorial Service graciously held at Sharon Center School)..there is a lot I have explored on livfully.org and over 30K have seen a post Remermbering Kaelan Alexander...with many other posts referencing aspects of our lives in those times and since
 
When someone dear to Kaelan took time to share a song I wrote to summarize his last acts of love and courage saving two of his teen friends from the HoUSAtonic River, others echoed their feelings of thanks and admiration for what a wonderful person Kaelan was and how it seems

"What is Social? by Northwestern University on Coursera. Certificate earned on June 30, 2017". is a class I took for credit through Coursera. I had to pay 50 per month to do that and the first one worked out. Then there were More Courses, and it's November..and I haven't kept up because I didn't figure out the Bluemix fro IBM which changed recently to IBM Cloud. I got a six month trial with the IBM Cloud if I paid for the Coursera..which was a great value.

.But only if I USE it. I see that Social Mention is a data screening tool to see who key leaders are in a field.

Decline of Schools in Small Communities in CT youtube video link 2017

https://youtu.be/BSbOum8EVbI is the link to learn about one small town's problem. One speaker called it 'the canary in the coal mine.' I have noted the overall decline in population in CT and our small towns for many years. I likely have an letter I wrote and shared with friends about 'the leavers'..reasons people leaves, who they are..if they can circle back for visits or longer. Now I've become a "leaver" in large part, for a year or so mainly being away...but with enough time back I feel I can pretty much keep track of things.

After watching a short video about declining school enrollment on a local FB page, I responded as follows. I will post the video on another post so people can share that more readily...
I think I've brainstormed on www.livfully.org.Ideally we could have regular meetings on a FB page dedicated to This Topic, not only this location (Kellogg in Falls Village CT.)
 
Jenny Law mentioned the importance of looking up micro schools and a growing trend to build relationships. I feel fortunate to have attended Kellogg School in the late 1960s and through the 1970s, K-8.
